What is quality healthcare?

The World Health Organization describes this as “Quality of care is the degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes.” It allows the provider to give high quality care to the patients.

Financial incentives such as payments are often used to encourage patients to undergo preventive care such as screenings, vaccinations, and other brief interventions. Providers are also eligible for these incentives as well.

Why is quality healthcare important to me?

Quality improvement aims to reduce the risk of adverse events, including medical errors, injuries, and infections.
Reduce unnecessary health care costs, which may save the patient money.
Patient care such as faster recovery times for, lower risk of complications and mortality, and improved long-term health.
Promotes patient safety. Help patients get healthy and stay healthy.
